Silent Circle
Over 22 years experience in mobile phone industry working for Panasonic, Nokia, Huawei, and Silent Circle.  The first half of my experience was spent in R&D, and the second half spent in Reverse Logistics.  I have ridden the roller coaster of fast market ramp ups with high return volumes, and fast market declines with low return volumes.  Over the years, I have managed the Reverse Logistics network to accommodate very large volumes of repairs and very small volumes of repairs.  I am currently designing a Global Reverse Logistics network for a startup company, Silent Circle, to manage low sales volumes sold in every corner of the globe.  This involves setting up global repair partners, global material distribution, and development of core service software to manage repair activity.

After launching and running the company for 18 months Howard sold it to Hollywood Media (NASDAQ: “HOLL”). Prior to that, he was a venture capitalist with Rosewood Capital and involved in the investment of approximately $70 million in consumer companies including branded product manufacturers, business services, retail, restaurants, and e-commerce companies. Paul Baum
CEO
PlanITROI, Inc.
Paul Baum, CEO & Founder, entrepreneur to the core. Paul has a 20 year proven track record of creating “Sustainable Green Value” in the IT Asset Disposition & Returns Management industry. Paul has spent his entire professional career perfecting the industry leading Asset Value Recovery model he calls “Market Match”.

Paul began in the industry when he founded Rumarson in 1991 and soon developed many of the first and largest OEM & Retailer “cash-in and trade-up” programs. Rumarson was #164 on INC 500 and was often featured in major business media. Paul led Rumarson for 10 years as CEO before selling the company to Selectron which has since been acquired by Flextronics.

In 2001 Paul took his expertise and formed PlanITROI, focused on the concept of “Planning IT Return-on-Investment.” The foundation of this innovative IT asset disposition and returns program is that it “Starts with the end in mind.” – The approach creates a match in the marketplace for a clients returned assets prior to getting the return back. The proprietary “Market Match” system assures that time and resources are only invested if there is an acceptable projected return on that investment. The system integrates the data from today’s industry sale price comps, future industry trends, potential value add and original asset costs into the decision making process for each of our clients’ assets.

PlanITROI is now recognized as one of the leading providers its category and is listed on the Gartner Magic Quadrant. Paul is considered a visionary in the category and has consistently developed innovative programs that drive “Sustainable Green Value.”
